We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook will play a vital role in supporting the culinary staff by preparing ingredients and assisting in basic cooking tasks. This role requires an individual who can follow instructions meticulously, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support the smooth flow of kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, be organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include preparing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients, measuring and labeling products, setting up workstations according to recipe requirements, and ensuring all food items are stored appropriately. The Prep Cook will also assist with simple cooking duties like reducing sauces and preparing salads, helping maintain a well-stocked and sanitary kitchen, and following nutrition and sanitation guidelines. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prep Cook Job Duties : Perform routine kitchen tasks
  • Follow the prep list created to plan duties
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep
  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes
  • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food
  • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
  • Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
