The role of a Prep Cook at Texas Roadhouse is essential to maintaining the high standards that have made the restaurant famous. This position involves preparing made-from-scratch food with precision and care, following Texas Roadhouse's legendary recipes to ensure every dish meets the quality and consistency customers expect. The Prep Cook plays a critical part in the kitchen team by managing food preparation according to the prep sheet, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the walk-in refrigerator, and correctly using and maintaining kitchen equipment. Proper food storage and rotation procedures must be followed to safeguard food quality and safety while upholding rigorous sanitation practices. This role also requires a strong commitment to teamwork, working closely with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
