Bottleneck Management has grown steadily into a hospitality powerhouse while remaining true to its founding principles of understanding, supporting, empowering, and enjoying both its team members and guests. Their culture fosters a welcoming environment where hospitality is not just a job but a passion, ensuring guests have an exceptional dining experience. The company also values its employees highly and offers a supportive and energetic work environment, along with comprehensive benefits including 401k, generous paid time off, an employee assistance program, and dining discounts.
The role of a Prep Cook at Bottleneck Management is essential to the seamless operation of its kitchens. Prep Cooks are the backbone of the culinary team, responsible for preparing and maintaining assigned stock levels of food items that ensure smooth service. This role involves preparing all proteins, sauces, dressings, and stocks from scratch, strictly following recipes and procedures to maintain the highest quality and consistency. Prep Cooks work closely with other kitchen and front-of-house team members in a fast-paced environment to deliver an exceptional culinary experience to guests. They are tasked not only with food preparation but also with maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety codes, storing and rotating food as per company standards, and assisting other cooks during busy periods.
This position demands someone with good judgment, the ability to adapt quickly, and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a dynamic kitchen environment. Though no prior education is required, previous prep cooking experience is preferred. The varied schedule includes nights and weekends, which requires flexibility. Candidates must possess all necessary food and alcohol certifications mandated by the location. The physical demands of this role are significant, including standing for full shifts, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Prep Cook plays a vital role in upholding the company’s reputation for genuine hospitality and excellent food quality. Compensation details can be found on the company’s careers page. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of an upbeat and intelligent team that prioritizes people and hospitality in every aspect of their work.
