Attention to proper handling, storage, and rotation of products ensures freshness and safety. You will also be tasked with the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen machinery and equipment, as well as managing all perishables to maintain product quality. The position requires completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists to ensure every shift starts and ends with a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen. Job Duties
- Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basis
- Requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
- Set-up, regularly maintain, clean, and breakdown machinery and equipment
- Maintain stock, cut, and store all perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
- Take responsibility for quality of products served
- Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
- Other duties as assigned
