Job Duties

  • Prepares and cooks food requiring longer preparation time
  • Ensures daily prep tasks are completed prior to service
  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving various food items
  • Operates kitchen equipment to measure, mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, shred fruits and vegetables, and trim meat
  • Tastes products, checks production, and keeps records to plan production requirements and requisition supplies
  • Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment following company and regulatory rules
  • Uses proper measurements as stated in recipes
  • Retrieves items required for prep from storage and walk-in cooler
  • Follows proper protocol for cooling prepped items and preventing cross-contamination
  • Maintains a clean work station using 'clean as you go' mentality
  • Uses proper PPE such as cut gloves
  • Assists with cleaning dishes, utensils, and food containers as needed
