Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years of professional experience in food and beverage or event industry
- Ability to manage a team of part-time employees
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in employee scheduling and payroll management
- Knowledge of budget and cost control
- Ability to maintain compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
- Ability to work an event-driven schedule including nights and weekends
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional presentation and customer service orientation
- Ability to handle client and employee relations effectively
- Availability for consistent work hours and event coverage
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college coursework in culinary, event management, business management, sports management or related field
- Four-year degree in a similar field preferred
- Three or more years of professional experience in food and beverage or event industry with increasing responsibility
- Knowledge of food and beverage management
- Experience with employee scheduling and payroll management preferred
- Experience with inventory management, accounts receivable/payable, and POS management preferred
- Familiarity with sales process or revenue management helpful
- Professional presentation and communication skills
- Advanced computer proficiency including email, MS Word and Excel
- Experience with event planning, establishing event details, and client relations
- Ability to create a positive and compliant employee and client relations climate
- Good judgment, time management, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated history of managing alcohol appropriately
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
- Proficient English reading, writing and speaking
- Willingness to work event-driven schedule with nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Manage a staff of approx. 20 part time employees including Premium Event Supervisor, bartenders, suite servers and catering servers
- Conduct interviews, hiring, training, scheduling, payroll management in ADP based system, entering employee tips, and communicate timely schedule updates
- Oversee execution of events, daily productivity and managing labor costs
- Manage client and tenant relations regarding food and beverage service in premium areas
- Receive and communicate client event details and requirements with sales and event managers
- Manage backstage catering including scheduling, staff direction, set-up, menu planning, BEO creation, event timelines and accurate final billing
- Manage department inventory, supplies, equipment, account receivable/payable, vendor relations, product ordering, and invoice processing
- Collaborate with Culinary Department on BEO creation, menu planning, and cost control
- Ensure professional staff presentation and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Maintain positive compliant work environment and handle employee coaching, discipline, and terminations
- Communicate with marketing on restaurant promotions and specials
- Handle client concerns professionally and escalate as necessary
- Ensure smooth event operations and adherence to safety standards
