Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a food and beverage operational position
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is preferred
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience in food and beverage operational roles
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop food and wine knowledge specific to venue
  • Skills in client relations and customer service
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve sales goals
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
  • Competency in using performance management and reporting tools
  • Aptitude for fostering a cooperative and inclusive work environment

Job Duties

  • Ensure all catering services exceed guest expectations
  • Present Levy catering services to guests in a manner that exceeds guest expectations and profitability
  • Communicate client needs through timely and detailed written and verbal communications
  • Develop location-specific food and wine knowledge
  • Initiate contact with clients to secure food and beverage selections prior to event
  • Hold team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service
  • Ensure team members consistently deliver heartfelt hospitality to every guest
  • Maintain show quality standards at all times
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits and Levy team members
  • Obtain regular feedback from clients and guests to improve operations
  • Support and communicate company initiatives
  • Respond and assist in departmental guest service issues
  • Execute all menus, promotions and programs as outlined by the Director of Catering
  • Achieve daily sales and assigned cost goals
  • Achieve assigned budget goals
  • Employ good safety and sanitation practices
  • Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service policies
  • Execute required daily reporting in a timely manner
  • Complete required department reports and comply information at month-end closing
  • Ensure team members adhere to Levy Company guidelines
  • Ensure continual revenue development
  • Promote the sale of profitable Levy services
  • Prepare account forecasts and analysis of group sales
  • Ensure complete billing and receipt of payments
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team members
  • Promote a cooperative work climate maximizing productivity and morale
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to ensure communication lines are open
  • Interview, hire, train and develop team members
  • Display a positive attitude toward team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
