Job Description

Delaware North Sportservice is a renowned hospitality and food service company that operates within prestigious venues, including sports arenas, casinos, national parks, and more. Founded over 100 years ago, Delaware North has established itself as a leading family-owned company in the hospitality industry. With a global presence and diverse operations, Delaware North offers exceptional career growth opportunities and fosters a culture of inclusivity and respect. The company emphasizes both personal and professional well-being for its employees, providing comprehensive benefits and training programs to support their success. One of its flagship venues is TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, which is New England's largest sports and entertainment arena. TD Garden serves as the historic home of the NHL’s Boston Bruins and the NBA’s Boston Celtics, hosting over 200 events annually and attracting more than 3.5 million visitors each year. Delaware North has owned and operated this iconic venue since purchasing the original Boston Garden in 1975 and subsequently constructing the current TD Garden and The Hub on Causeway.

The Line Cook role at Delaware North Sportservice in TD Garden offers an exciting part-time opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation within a dynamic environment. The position pays $20.00 per hour and promises an engaging workday where employees contribute directly to the vibrant game day atmosphere amidst sold-out sports and entertainment events. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing dishes according to precise recipes and the chef’s instructions, ensuring high-quality meals that meet the standards of this premier venue. The role requires measuring, portioning, and cooking food items promptly while maintaining correct food temperatures and safe storage practices. You will also participate in opening, closing, and side work duties and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation. Proper waste control is essential, with waste recorded accurately to minimize spoilage.

This fast-paced position demands manual dexterity and physical endurance, including the ability to carry heavy pans and work in varying temperature conditions. Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, weekdays, weekends, and special event shifts is necessary to meet the demands of the arena’s extensive event schedule. Delaware North values employees who can prioritize and complete food orders efficiently with precision and follow established procedures. No high school diploma or GED is required to apply, making this an accessible opportunity for individuals with at least one year of relevant cooking experience. The company also supports team members through weekly pay, employee discounts, flexible work schedules, and ongoing training and development opportunities. Joining Delaware North Sportservice as a Line Cook means becoming a part of a global legacy dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences in iconic locations, with the possibility of career advancement within a supportive community.
