Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or more bartending experience
  • valid SNHD food handling card
  • Alcohol Awareness or equivalent certification
  • ability to obtain a non-gaming work card (Sheriff's Card)
  • possession of Union Pour Card
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and long shifts
  • excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • accurate cash handling skills

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state federal regulations
  • learn and have knowledge of various beer wine varieties and spirits available and suggestively upsell products
  • pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
  • check guest's ID in accordance with state federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement
  • communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
  • listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations
  • contact management or security if guest becomes confrontational belligerent or uses extreme profanity
  • contact management when unable to resolve or make decisions beyond standard scope
  • request additional product or restock product as required
  • handle cash accurately and manage issued bank at bar
  • maintain clean and sanitary work station at all times
  • ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • perform set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with organization of the cooler
  • perform other duties as assigned
