Job Requirements

  • Excellent phone and in-person communication skills
  • strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • computer literacy in basic applications including Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • full-time availability Monday through Friday
  • detail-oriented with organized communication skills between patients, doctors, and assistants

Job Qualifications

  • One year of medical or dental office experience
  • one year of administrative assistant or receptionist experience preferred
  • one year of Open Dental experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures
  • manage telephone calls and address inquiries
  • effectively communicate with referring practices, patients, and teammates
  • schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, surgeon time, and treatment room use
  • independently complete treatment planning and benefits verification
  • create, access, and verify patient records in Open Dental
  • maintain a neat and orderly reception area
  • receive and distribute letters and packages
  • prepare and process outgoing mail
  • check, sort, forward, and respond to emails and teammate correspondence
  • collaborate with Marketing, Human Resources, Call Center, and Billing teams
  • perform end-of-day closing procedures including cash and check deposits
  • take up other duties as assigned
