The position available at Potawatomi Casino Hotel is for a Sports Bar Bartender, a critical role responsible for engaging with guests and enhancing their experience through expert drink preparation and friendly service. This position offers a starting wage of $11.10 per hour plus tips and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. As a Sports Bar Bartender, you will work in a fast-paced environment located within the casino's sportsbook area, where energy and excitement are constant. Your primary responsibility will be to craft and serve a wide range of beverages, from cocktails and beer to wine and champagne, all while ensuring guests receive attentive and courteous service.

You will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of beverage selections, including liqueurs and liquors, and to operate and maintain bar equipment such as coffee machines, beverage dispensing systems, and beer taps. Utilizing the point-of-sale system accurately to process orders, financial transactions, and balance the sales reports will also be part of your day-to-day duties. Job Requirements

  • Six months of bartending experience
  • Excellent communication, hospitality, interpersonal and math skills
  • Ability to successfully achieve Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications and City of Milwaukee bartender’s license within 90 days
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Six months of bartending experience
  • Excellent communication, hospitality, interpersonal and math skills
  • Ability to successfully achieve Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications and City of Milwaukee bartender’s license within 90 days
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred
  • Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications preferred

Job Duties

  • Mix or pour drinks per recipe cards using accurate measures and proper glassware
  • Fill orders for servers and serve directly to guests
  • Greet guests with a friendly acknowledgment
  • Assess, anticipate, and address guest needs and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Maintain complete knowledge of beverage selections to include wine, liqueur, liquor, champagne, and beer
  • Operate and clean all equipment in bar areas and service stations, including beverage dispensing systems, coffee machines, and beer taps
  • Use point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately enter orders, dispense correct change, and process credit card and other transactions
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed for handling of financial transactions, including balancing bank to sales report
