Job Requirements

Capable of lifting 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods
Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
Ability to work in different environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain
Ability to walk and climb stairs
Ability to handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Ability to navigate the property/building quickly and easily
Ability to repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers
Ability to complete all required forms
Ability to respond to emergencies promptly
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 ft
Capable of working extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing with corrective lenses
Must be able to speak English clearly to communicate effectively
Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects up to 50 lbs
Position alternates between working indoors in controlled climate and outdoors with variable climate
Must be mentally alert, detail oriented, and have good reasoning skills
Must be able to work in small and confined spaces for extended periods
Must have finger dexterity for typing and using a keyboard

Job Qualifications

Previous custodial experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalency
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

Informs supervisor of needed supplies
Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning
Properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures prior to use
Maintains a friendly and professional attitude
Responsible for maintaining sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
Inspects assigned areas daily and reports discrepancies to supervisor
Ensures security procedures are adhered to at all times
Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work
Maintains working relationship with building staff
Furnishes and burnishes floors as required
Completes daily work orders as scheduled
Cleans restrooms including sweeping, mopping, refilling dispensers, and cleaning fixtures
Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition
Responds to emergencies in a timely manner
Climbs ladders and works at heights up to 3 feet
