Culver's is currently seeking a Porter / Restaurant Maintenance Technician to join its dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that the restaurant environment is well-maintained, clean, and operating efficiently to provide an excellent dining experience. The Porter / Restaurant Maintenance Technician keeps the restaurant in top shape by performing critical cleaning, maintenance, inventory, and stocking tasks. They help open the restaurant by coordinating with other team members to ensure all preparation duties are completed efficiently. Their maintenance responsibilities include completing scheduled upkeep on restaurant equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimize operations. Additionally, this role involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of both the interior and exterior of the restaurant, including landscaping and snow removal as needed. Porters also manage food inventory by putting away orders, rotating stock properly in coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas, and monitoring shelf lives and code dates to maintain food safety and quality standards. This role demands a hardworking individual who can frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds and has strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Previous maintenance or porter experience a plus but not required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Coordinate job duties with opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening
  • Complete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly according to maintenance calendar
  • Provide superior maintenance to the interior and exterior of the restaurant
  • Maintain the appearance of the building and grounds including landscaping and snow removal
  • Put food order away and rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas
  • Monitor shelf life and code dates
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the operation of restaurant equipment
