The role of Full-Time Porter/Janitor at The Marshes of Skidaway Island is an essential position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the community. The primary focus of this role involves major floor care projects and efficient trash disposal, ensuring that all areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests. The Porter/Janitor will also be tasked with maintaining all equipment and supplies in proper condition, supporting the smooth operation of the facility’s maintenance activities. This position requires physical stamina as it involves standing and walking for long periods, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and lifting moderate weights consistently throughout the workday. The successful candidate will be expected to perform these duties with a positive attitude and a commitment to upholding the community’s high standards.

Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- must be able to pass drug screen and background check
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- previous floor maintenance experience preferred but not required
- ability to perform moderate to heavy physical effort for 95% of the workday
- ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day
- ability to stoop and work from a kneeling position
- ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, and stretching
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs independently
