Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
- ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3ft)
- ability to work in different environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain)
- ability to walk and climb stairs
- ability to handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
- ability to reach with hands and arms
- ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building
- ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
- must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower and others
- previous groundskeeping or landscaping experience preferred
- strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to comply with OSHA and EPA safety guidelines
- fluency in multiple languages desirable
Job Duties
- Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers
- clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition
- assists in loading and unloading supplies, equipment and/or merchandise as needed
- maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment
- properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures prior to use
- complies with OSHA and EPA guidelines for chemical storage and usage
- communicates effectively with staff and visitors
- monitors grounds for any safety or maintenance issues
- operates handheld gardening tools safely
