The company generated sales exceeding $3 billion, emphasizing its robust presence and continued growth in the industry. Gerber is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through its WOW Operating Way plan, which focuses on exceeding customer expectations and ensuring satisfaction at every service touchpoint. The company values diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and characteristics, including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.

Working at Gerber Collision & Glass offers a dynamic and supportive environment for career growth. The company provides comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage. Additional perks such as paid time off, paid parental leave, holiday pay, 401(k) with company match, disability and life insurance, continuing education opportunities, and more underline Gerber’s commitment to employee wellbeing and professional development.

The Porter position at Gerber Collision & Glass plays a vital role in supporting the collision repair process by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of customer vehicles and the repair facility. This position ensures customer vehicles are clean, both before the repair process begins and after repairs are completed, enhancing the overall customer experience. The Porter also contributes to daily housekeeping duties in both office and production areas, such as emptying garbage, sweeping floors, dusting, and organizing tools and equipment. Additionally, this role includes maintaining exterior grounds, including parking lots and sidewalks, sometimes requiring tasks like shoveling snow. Transporting vehicles to sublet locations for additional repair work is another essential responsibility.

The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver’s license, and be at least 18 years old. Prior automotive experience is preferred but not mandatory. The position demands strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, physical endurance to perform activities like lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, stooping, kneeling, and operating a motor vehicle. Customer service skills and a positive attitude are also critical as the role interacts directly with customer vehicles and contributes to the overall customer satisfaction journey.
