The role of Porter at Legends Global is a vital support position responsible for the delivery, maintenance, stocking, cleaning, and overall supply management of products within the venue. Porters assist in ensuring the venue runs smoothly by keeping all areas clean and orderly, supporting event setups and breakdowns, and maintaining safety standards. This role demands a highly motivated individual who can manage multiple responsibilities related to cleanliness, organization, and logistics within a fast-paced environment. Porters must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and physical stamina to handle duties spanning washing equipment and dishware, maintaining kitchen and office cleanliness, handling deliveries, stocking storerooms and side stations, and supporting team members during events.

This hourly position offers a pay rate of $19 per hour and requires the ability to work flexible schedules, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet service demand levels. The position mandates adherence to safe work habits and company safety policies to maintain a safe workplace. Additionally, effective communication skills in English and the ability to take direction from management are essential for success in this role. The Porter will demonstrate a commitment to personal hygiene and professional appearance as outlined by company and venue standards.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be able to read, speak and write English
  • ability to work all venue events including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
  • must be punctual and dependable
  • must maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance
  • must have sufficient mobility for production tasks
  • ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
  • ability to listen and take direction from management
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask

Job Qualifications

  • must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred
  • ability to effectively listen and take direction from management
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting

Job Duties

  • Washes all china, glass, and silverware
  • cleans all equipment, pots, and pans pre, during, and post-event
  • stores all equipment in proper locations
  • sweeps and mops all floors in the kitchen and office areas
  • maintains a clean and safe working environment
  • practices safe work habits, follows all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, completes company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training
  • transports food and equipment throughout the venue as needed
  • monitors cleaning supply stock levels per venue needs
  • ensures that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly
  • performs and assists with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility
  • ensures that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner
  • assists with deliveries and stocking storeroom and side stations
  • assists members in a timely, efficient and professional manner
  • fulfills the assigned opening and closing duties as assigned by the chef
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
