With a diverse portfolio that includes hotels and resorts, multi-family housing, office buildings, retail centers, universities, and city-owned municipalities, CSG has established a solid reputation grounded in core values such as customer focus, continuous improvement, integrity, and transparent communication. These values permeate every aspect of their operations, from servicing premier client facilities to ensuring a respectful and dignified work environment for their employees. CSG maintains a strong commitment to quality and excellence, viewing both as integral components of their business ethos.
The company places significant emphasis on safety as a cornerstone of their workplace culture. Protecting the wellbeing of employees, co-workers, customers, clients of their customers, and the surrounding community is a top priority, contributing to an environment that fosters responsible and conscientious service delivery. CSG’s commitment goes beyond operational efficiency, aiming to create a supportive and safe workplace for every member of its team. Competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package substantiate CSG’s dedication to being a fair and honest employer, setting standards that distinguish them in the industry.
The role of Porter Technician within the Janitorial Department at CSG offers a full-time, temporary opportunity that plays a critical role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional readiness of apartment communities. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Porter Technician’s primary responsibility is to support building maintenance and landscape efforts to uphold the community’s standards at all times. The compensation for this position ranges from $25.50 to $26.50 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to offering competitive pay for quality work.
As a Porter Technician, you will perform detailed cleaning duties including washing buildings, cleaning amenities such as clubhouses, bathrooms, pool areas, BBQ spots, and other community spaces. You will also handle apartment turns by conducting detailed cleaning to prepare units for resident move-ins and oversee vendor work to ensure it meets company standards. This position requires collaboration with both the on-site team and external contractors to maintain optimal quality and production efficiency within the community. The role involves both customer-facing tasks and hands-on maintenance support including light maintenance assistance and waste disposal according to safety guidelines.
Additionally, the Porter Technician is expected to promote positive and proactive customer interactions to ensure residents and visitors experience the highest level of service. Responsibilities extend to delivering packages, notes, letters, and flyers within the community, coupled with a vigilant approach to identifying and addressing hazards such as burnt-out lights, malfunctioning sprinkler heads, or wet surfaces. This role requires physical endurance, with duties involving sitting, standing, walking, squatting, stair and ladder climbing, kneeling, crawling, overhead reaching, lifting, and carrying significant weights. The work schedule may include weekends, holidays, and evenings, emphasizing the necessity for reliable attendance and a flexible approach.
CSG encourages team members to communicate clearly and effectively in English, and bilingual abilities are considered an advantage. Prospective candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain a clean driving record as part of the hiring process. With a focus on quality, safety, and community, the Porter Technician position with Contract Services Group provides a dynamic and rewarding environment for individuals dedicated to facility maintenance and exceptional customer service.
