The open position of Porter Supervisor at Truckee Gaming is a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, integrity, and safety of Club Fortune casino facilities. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage and guide shift employees to uphold the company’s high standards for cleanliness and operational excellence. The Porter Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all cleaning and maintenance activities within the property, ensuring that all areas meet the required hygiene and safety standards. This role involves not only supervisory duties but also hands-on engagement with the porters to maintain various casino floor areas, restrooms, interior and exterior spaces, and parking lots. The Porter Supervisor must enforce adherence to company policies, including uniform and appearance guidelines, and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
In addition to direct supervision and cleaning duties, the Porter Supervisor will coordinate training for new and existing employees, safeguard compliance with regulatory and departmental policies, and maintain a steady workflow to meet scheduled timelines. This position demands a high level of physical stamina, with responsibilities that include lifting heavy objects, operating and maneuvering heavy-duty cleaning equipment, and consistent physical activity such as walking, standing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift. The work environment varies and may expose employees to challenging conditions like noise, smoke, bright lights, and differing temperatures indoors and outdoors. Successfully serving in this role requires strong communication skills in English, customer service aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe facility for guests and staff alike. Job Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speak and read)
- use product information and directions for working with a variety of chemicals and standard cleaning equipment
- ability to maintain a steady work pace to meet department schedules
- ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures
- strong customer service and employee relations skills
- must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionally
- ability to handle and operate heavy-duty equipment
- must be able to push and pull heavy-duty equipment
- prolonged walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and kneeling without restriction
- ability to tolerate working with chemicals and noise from equipment
- ability to work in an environment that is smokey, noisy, has bright lights, and varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
Job Qualifications
- Effective communication skills in English

- experience with supervisory duties preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment recommended
Job Duties
- Lead, supervise, and train employees in completing Porter responsibilities
- ensure cleanliness of the building and property
- stock and replace supplies in restrooms as needed
- dust and wipe casino floor areas as required
- dust walls and ceiling areas as needed
- empty and clean ashtrays and trash cans inside and outside the property
- clean all glass surfaces throughout the shift, including entry doors
- sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floor areas during the shift
- restock cleaning and maintenance supplies
- remove litter from parking lot and exterior areas
- maintain cleanliness of interior areas
- adhere to attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies
- follow uniform requirements and ensure employees abide by company appearance policy
- clean biohazards using proper safety precautions and required PPE
- perform other duties as assigned
