The Porter Supervisor position at the Prudential Center is a supervisory role focused on managing non-cooking kitchen staff, ensuring that sanitation standards and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved. This role requires the individual to oversee all duties related to the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and environments, including dishwashing stations, sinks, storerooms, refrigerators, and kitchen utensils. As a Porter Supervisor, you will train and guide porter staff about job responsibilities, safety, and sanitation protocols while ensuring equipment functionality and cleanliness. Additional responsibilities include waste removal, recycling, light maintenance, custodial tasks, and consistently promoting a positive attitude and excellent customer service. The position pays $23.50 per hour and expects candidates to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong knowledge of cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment like ovens, steamers, mixers, grills, and dishwashing machines. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Required to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including but not limited to steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Implement, oversee and follow up on all sanitation standards and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring food service equipment is secure and maintained in proper order
  • Oversee and maintain the supply of necessary equipment
  • Train and guide porter staff on job duties and proper safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized, also ensuring waste removal and recycling
  • Maintain and clean a dishwashing station, three compartment sink, storerooms, refrigerators, and related areas
  • Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition
  • report any issues to management
  • Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc
  • Adhere to Levy safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
