Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment preferred
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Extensive knowledge of proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment
  • Thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Implement, oversee and follow up on all sanitation standards and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring food service equipment is secure and maintained in proper order
  • Oversee and maintain the supply of necessary equipment
  • Train and guide porter staff on job duties and proper safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Ensure waste removal and recycling
  • Maintain and clean dishwashing station, three compartment sink, storerooms, refrigerators, and related areas
  • Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition
  • Report any equipment issues to management
  • Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • Adhere to Levy safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
