The Flats at Carrs Hill, one of the esteemed properties under the Preiss umbrella, is currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Porter to join its team. This role is fundamental to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall quality of the community grounds and facilities. As a Porter, you will be responsible for providing prompt and efficient service to residents, ensuring that the outdoor environment remains welcoming and well-maintained. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to engage with various physical and maintenance tasks that contribute directly to the community’s comfort and appeal.

This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling a variety of duties ranging from groundskeeping to minor repairs and maintenance. It is suited for candidates who enjoy active work environments and take pride in contributing to a well-kept residential community. Key responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining grounds, servicing the pool area, painting, power washing, transferring trash, and assisting with property turns by performing routine maintenance and moving furniture. The role demands a physical aptitude to handle equipment and tools, and the ability to perform tasks such as blowing leaves, caulking tubs, and assisting in keeping the surroundings neat and litter-free.

Physical requirements for the Porter role are significant, demanding stamina and the ability to work in varied weather conditions. This includes the capacity to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts up to 75 pounds. The position often requires climbing stairs and ladders, operating grounds-keeping equipment, and performing repetitive physical activities such as raking and sweeping. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate, think critically, and maintain concentration throughout their shifts.
