The Laura, a multifamily residential community managed by Cushman & Wakefield, is seeking a dedicated Porter to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining both vacant and occupied units, as well as all common areas and exterior spaces, to ensure the property remains attractive and functional for prospective and current residents. The Porter position offered at The Laura is a full-time, hourly role, with compensation ranging between $15.30 and $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This position reports directly to the Resident Manager and Property Manager, working closely with the maintenance team to support the overall upkeep of the property.

The role of Porter in this multifamily residential context involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties aimed at preparing units for occupancy and maintaining the overall appearance of the property. The Porter is responsible for cleaning vacant units, common areas, the property business office, laundry rooms, and model apartments on a scheduled basis. Additionally, the position requires upkeep of landscaping and exterior areas, including driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, and exterior hallways, contributing to a welcoming and well-kept environment. Being the first point of contact in many instances, the Porter is expected to provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing resident concerns and maintenance requests in a professional and friendly manner.

This role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to operate cleaning equipment safely, and adherence to safety protocols as established by Cushman & Wakefield. The Porter must be proactive in reporting maintenance problems and obstacles that hinder safe job performance. Collaboration with the maintenance team is essential to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. This job requires physical stamina as well as the ability to work in varying weather conditions, standing, walking for extended periods, and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds.
