Job Description

Le Pain Quotidien, meaning "the daily bread," is much more than just a bakery or café; it embodies a lifestyle centered on the timeless tradition of sharing bread among friends and family. The brand’s signature loaves emerge weekly from their ovens, warm and fragrant, inviting guests to gather around communal tables where conversation flows and moments slow down. This unique blend of hospitality and culinary craft delivers an experience that cherishes simplicity, quality, and connection. Established as part of the innovative restaurant group Convive Brands, Le Pain Quotidien has grown to represent an approachable yet elevated concept focusing on organic breads, pastries, and wholesome meals made with natural ingredients. Convive Brands, headquartered in New York, is a forward-thinking hospitality entity operating over 50 restaurants nationwide under two main concepts: Le Pain Quotidien and Little Beet. With a commitment to long-term investment and operational excellence, Convive Brands pursues growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisition, fostering a culture of quality, sustainability, and community engagement.

This role is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and committed to supporting the seamless operation of Le Pain Quotidien’s kitchen and dining areas. The opportunity is ideal for candidates eager to grow in the restaurant industry, offering competitive hourly pay ranging from $16.50 to $23.00 plus potential tips. Employment is hourly and comes with a variety of benefits conducive to both personal and professional development. The position primarily involves dish machine operation, kitchen cleanliness, inventory management, and assisting with basic food preparation. This multifaceted role supports the kitchen team by ensuring all dishware, baskets, and crates are efficiently cleaned and stored, replenishing cleaning supplies and dish detergents, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, and other kitchen equipment. Employees are expected to adhere to checklists and complete opening, mid, and closing procedures diligently, helping preserve the high standards of hygiene and order expected at Le Pain Quotidien.

In addition to operational responsibilities, this position offers a supportive environment within a nationally recognized restaurant group where teamwork and inclusivity are core values. Convive Brands prides itself on equal opportunity employment and a commitment to diversity. The ideal candidate will be flexible in scheduling, capable of understanding and communicating in the primary language of the workplace, and possess prior related experience or training, ideally around three to six months. Employees will benefit from health coverage plans contributed by the company, a 401k plan with matching options, accrued paid time off, commuter benefits, and discounts across all Convive Brands restaurants. Joining Le Pain Quotidien under the Convive umbrella means becoming part of a vibrant community dedicated to excellence, connection, and growth within the hospitality industry.
