Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Previous cleaning positions preferred
  • Previous customer service experience a plus
  • Ability to communicate and follow verbal directions
  • Ability to use different types of cleaning solvents
  • Ability to deal well with people
  • Ability to use general maintenance and cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, shampoo machines, mops, brooms, ladders, scrub brushes, various types of rags, cleaning solvents, and required safety equipment

Job Duties

  • Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, laundry rooms, mail areas, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings
  • Assist in the cleaning of available units and/or models
  • Assist maintenance team with snow removal if applicable
  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available units, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Property Manager
  • Periodically enter occupied units to assist with maintenance service requests
  • Transfer trash and other items left outside of dumpster into dumpster
  • Pick-up and sweep area
  • Keep dumpster doors closed on windy days
  • Move/push/pull dumpster in order to clean dumpster area
  • Maintain cleanliness in walkways to and from, and in-between buildings
  • Maintain cleanliness of parking lots and drives
  • Clean and rake shrub areas
  • Shovel mud when necessary
  • Use 50lb. backpack type blower daily
  • Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily
  • Meticulously maintain curb appeal by walking site
  • Assist management team with other various tasks as requested
  • Adhere to the companys safety program, policies and procedures and hazard communication program
  • Maintain awareness of proper safety precautions at all times
  • Observe condition of apartment property throughout the community and immediately report and/or initiate action to correct unsafe conditions
  • Ensure storage areas remain locked when not in use
  • Notify office if utility shut offs are happening
  • Uphold all company policies, goals and values
  • Watch training videos
  • Represent the community in a professional manner at all times on or off the property
  • Distribute resident communications door to door
  • Contribute to resident retention programs
  • Ensure efficient and courteous response to all resident requests
  • Ensure a professional appearance and manner
  • Participate in company training classes and meetings as required
  • Perform special projects or additional duties assigned by supervisor essential for operations of the property
