This full-time Porter role is based at the Uber Technologies location in San Francisco, CA, and involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the foodservice area. Working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, the Porter plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and sanitary service flow by bussing tables, washing dishes, and assisting with deliveries. The position offers a fixed hourly pay rate of $22.00 and includes opportunities for employee referral bonuses. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a porter preferred
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Ability to safely lift heavy items and follow safety protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to pass background check
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Previous porter experience preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to follow safety procedures including use of safety gloves and lifting techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday schedule
- Good physical stamina for manual labor
- Customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak times and prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from front of house to kitchen using trays, bus tubs or carts
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots
- cleans cooking stations and equipment to maintain sanitation standards
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and operates dishwashing equipment ensuring complete cleanliness
- Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries and transports them to storage areas following safe lifting standards
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
