This role is integral to maintaining the cleanliness and smooth operations of the front of the house, ensuring that all dining and service areas uphold the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene. Scheduled for 40 hours a week, from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Wednesday through Sunday, Porters are essential to the weekend and holiday busy periods, reflecting the company's commitment to consistent, excellent service. The Porter role is crucial in supporting both front of the house and kitchen operations by ensuring tables, floors, and beverage stations are impeccably clean and ready for service. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards, including proper handling of knives and hot equipment as well as using slip-resistant shoes and correct lifting techniques. Although previous bar back and stocking experience and Bassett certification are preferred, Flik Hospitality Group provides opportunities for growth and development, making this role a promising start or continuation of a career in hospitality. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bar back and stocking experience preferred
- Ability to work full time 40 hours per week Wednesday through Sunday including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle physical labor including lifting heavy objects
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
- Valid Bassett certification preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots
- cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
