The Environmental Services role at MetroHealth Medical Center involves thorough cleaning and servicing of assigned areas and buildings, ensuring compliance with all infection control regulations and guidelines. The role requires working 80 hours biweekly on a shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including rotating weekends and holidays, emphasizing the importance of reliability and flexibility in scheduling. Job Requirements

  • Recent one year of experience in an Environmental Services Department
  • proficiency in operation and care of cleaning equipment such as high-speed buffer, auto scrubber, rotary scrubber, wet/dry suction equipment, and scaffolding
  • ability to read and write English

  • ability to read and write English
  • preferred high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Cleans and services assigned areas and buildings
  • follows all infection control regulations and guidelines
  • operates and maintains department-related equipment such as high-speed buffer, auto scrubber, rotary scrubber, and wet/dry suction equipment
  • upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System
  • works rotating weekends and holidays
  • participates in ensuring a safe and clean environment conducive to healing
  • reports and addresses maintenance or safety issues promptly
