Job Description
Trilogy Lake Norman, located in the attractive Huntersville area near Charlotte, North Carolina, is a premier resort destination designed with outdoor enthusiasts in mind. The Club at Trilogy Lake Norman features an array of amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, The Outfitter — a dedicated space equipped with kayaks, bikes, and other outdoor gear — as well as pickleball and tennis courts. Residents and guests also enjoy access to a fleet of boats at nearby Lake Norman, making it an ideal spot for water-based recreation and relaxation. Additionally, the resort boasts The Foundry, a feature restaurant, and an Event Center that are both open to the public for dining reservations and private event bookings. These facilities cater to both residents of the community and visitors seeking exceptional experiences in a picturesque setting. Trilogy Lake Norman prides itself on maintaining a high standard of service and creating memorable experiences through its facilities, making it a sought-after destination within the region.
The position of Porter at Trilogy Lake Norman is a full-time role offering $17 per hour. This entry-level role is vital to supporting the overall maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the resort's extensive facilities. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the Porter plays a key role in ensuring that all areas of the resort, including interiors such as game rooms, community living spaces, fitness and spa areas, as well as outdoor amenities like patios, running tracks, and pools, meet strict facility standards. The role involves performing detailed janitorial services and light maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, window cleaning, furniture maintenance, and replacing burnt-out light bulbs. Pool and water feature maintenance are also essential, demanding regular cleaning and upkeep to ensure they remain pristine and safe for guests and residents alike.
In addition to cleaning and maintenance tasks, the Porter is responsible for monitoring and reporting any safety issues or repair needs to the Maintenance Director and assisting with facility repairs and preventative maintenance as needed. Accurate record-keeping is crucial, as the Porter logs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning and maintenance activities, including water testing results. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and the management of caution signs in relevant areas.
The position demands a proactive, positive attitude with strong customer orientation and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while balancing multiple tasks. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential, as is alignment with Trilogy's core values of honesty and integrity, respect for individuals, teamwork, and competitive spirit. The role offers comprehensive benefits, including eligibility for medical, dental, and life insurance plans after 60 days of full-time employment, paid time off accrual, paid holidays, sick leave for part-time staff, and participation in a company 401(k) plan. Trilogy Lake Norman seeks candidates who are self-motivated, capable of working independently, and eager to contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at this distinguished resort community.
