Job Description

The Domain Companies is a prominent national real estate development and investment firm with a strong commitment to making a positive and lasting social, economic, and physical impact on the communities in which they operate. Known for their innovative and diverse portfolio, The Domain Companies manage a variety of projects including affordable, mixed-income, and luxury apartments, condominiums, hospitality venues, retail spaces, entertainment venues, and creative workspaces. Their success stems from a community-focused approach, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the collective expertise of their dedicated team. They embrace excellence and innovation, cultivating a dynamic and creative work environment that fosters growth and advancement opportunities for their employees.

The role of Porter at The Domain Companies is integral to maintaining the high standards and welcoming atmosphere valued throughout their properties. This position is ideal for a highly motivated, self-starting individual who thrives on providing excellent customer service and takes pride in delivering a well-maintained, high-quality environment for residents and team members alike. The Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the property at all times, managing trash pickup, handling unit-turn tasks in vacated apartments, and supporting resident events and community-building activities. Attention to detail, effective communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential traits for success in this role.

The position requires strict adherence to safety programs and policies to protect both residents and team members while minimizing liabilities. Porters serve as key communication links between the maintenance team, residents, and other staff, addressing concerns, delivering notices, and assisting with operational needs as they arise. The ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines is critical, as is a willingness to take initiative, solve problems proactively, and lead when opportunities arise.

The Domain Companies value a strong team culture, enriched with opportunities for community engagement, volunteerism, and team-building events. This supportive culture fosters a positive and collaborative work environment that enhances employee satisfaction and contributes to the company's ongoing success. The Porter role offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that invests in its people and communities while offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and professional development opportunities. Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule and demonstrate reliability, positivity, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the resident experience and maintaining the quality of the properties under Domain's stewardship.
