Job Description

Greystar is a leading global real estate platform known for its comprehensive expertise in property management, investment management, development, and construction services, particularly in institutional-quality rental housing. Headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, Greystar operates on an international scale, managing over $300 billion of real estate assets across more than 265 markets worldwide, with offices in North America, Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region. Renowned as the largest operator of apartments in the United States, Greystar manages over one million units or beds globally, exemplifying its commitment to providing world-class residential rental services. Since its founding by Bob Faith in 1993, Greystar has maintained a strong reputation for excellence in service and operational efficiency, continually expanding its footprint and industry leadership. The company boasts nearly $79 billion of assets under management across various platforms, including significant development and regulatory assets, positioning it as a key player in the real estate industry.

The role available at Greystar focuses on maintaining the physical qualities of the community to ensure high standards are met in grounds maintenance, amenities, and overall curb appeal. The position entails regular inspections and upkeep to sustain a neat, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and team members alike. Key responsibilities involve routine cleaning to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings from common areas, disposing of trash from vacant apartments, and maintaining storage areas. The role also supports the service team by completing minor service requests and aiding the make-ready process for apartment turnovers. Additionally, the position requires handling lock changes in compliance with property policies, ensuring safety standards at pool gates are met, and communicating effectively with residents through notices and respectful customer service.

Safety is a paramount aspect of this role, requiring adherence to Greystar's safety and risk-management policies, including attendance at routine safety meetings, compliance with OSHA training, and prompt reporting of accidents. Physical demands of the position include standing, walking, bending, climbing, and carrying objects, often in varying weather conditions, emphasizing the need for flexibility and resilience. The job involves occasional travel to assist at other properties as needed and requires availability for a flexible work schedule that includes evening, weekend, and holiday availability as part of an on-call rotation. This full-time hourly role offers a competitive pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with potential bonus opportunities tied to individual and company performance. Greystar provides a robust benefits package to support employees’ health, well-being, and work-life balance, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to grow within a dynamic real estate management environment.
