The company is seeking to hire a full-time Porter at its MUSC NE location, 120 Gateway Corporate Boulevard, Columbia, SC. This position offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $16.25 per hour and follows a schedule from Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with rotating weekends required. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house in a healthcare food service environment, ensuring that all tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations are hygienic and ready for optimal service. The Porter will be a key player in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of daily meal service by managing dishwashing duties, cleaning service areas, assisting with deliveries, and upholding stringent safety and sanitation procedures.

In this role, the Porter will help maintain sanitation standards by clearing and cleaning tables during peak service times, handling dishes and utensils with care, and preparing service areas before meal periods. They will use trays, bus tubs, or carts to transport items safely, wash dishes and cooking equipment either by hand or in dishwashing machines, and support the cleanliness of display equipment during service. The Porter will also handle heavy deliveries safely, ensuring that storage areas are organized and stocked.
