The company believes that great teams don’t happen by accident — they are built intentionally with a focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and career growth.

The role we are currently offering is the Porter position, which plays a crucial part in enhancing customer experience by ensuring that vehicles are cleaned and maintained to a high standard before delivery. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of both the vehicles and the facilities, including the office and production areas. This full-time hourly position offers a competitive pay range of $15 to $20 per hour, based on experience, education, and skills. This role is ideal for those who take pride in attention to detail, enjoy working in a fast-paced automotive environment, and want to contribute to the success of a leading company in the collision repair industry.

As a Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass, you will be instrumental in complementing the quality of repairs by pre-washing customer vehicles before the repair process and ensuring the interior and exterior of vehicles are spotless after repairs are completed. Additionally, you will support the maintenance of the shop by keeping the parking lots and grounds orderly, performing tasks such as shoveling sidewalks when necessary, and managing the daily housekeeping in both office and production areas. The role also involves transporting vehicles to sublet locations for further repairs, demanding reliability and a safe approach to vehicle operation.

Gerber Collision & Glass emphasizes the Well Operating Way (WOW) plan, encouraging consistent execution of company standards and processes in daily activities. This role is not only about physical upkeep but also about delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a welcoming environment. The company supports professional development by offering continuing education opportunities and various benefits designed to promote employee wellness and career advancement.

Working at Gerber Collision & Glass means becoming part of a dedicated team where your contributions are recognized and valued. The company provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting on day 140 of employment, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and short-term disability coverage. Employees also benefit from perks such as free prescription or non-prescription safety glasses, an annual uniform stipend, paid parental leave, and a voluntary daily pay option. Gerber Collision & Glass ensures a safe and supportive workplace with reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

If you’re ready to grow your career with a reputable company that puts people first and fosters a culture of excellence, consider applying for the Porter role today.
