The role of Customer Service Attendant at TravelCenters of America is critical to maintaining the welcoming atmosphere of their travel center locations. As a member of the store team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities are kept clean, sanitary, and up to the company’s exacting standards. The position is essential to delivering an optimal customer experience, where the goal is to send every traveler back on the road in better condition than when they arrived. This role offers a fun and trusting work environment focused on superior customer service. Duties range from cleaning various areas and adhering to safety and security guidelines, to monitoring the usage of cleaning supplies and protective equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, crawl, and climb occasionally
  • Ability to talk and hear
  • Willingness to follow safety and security guidelines
  • Ability to wear and use protective equipment properly
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Dedicated individual who works well with others
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a cleaning or customer service role is a plus

Job Duties

  • Clean all areas of the facility as directed and provide our guests with a clean, sanitary environment

  • Alert to and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and guests

  • Know quantities and types of cleaning supplies used for each cleaning assignment
