The role available at Fields Mercedes-Benz of St Augustine is designed for a proactive, positive team member who is eager to contribute to this esteemed environment and provide an exceptional luxury experience. This position is Monday through Friday during morning and afternoon shifts, offering a stable and consistent schedule. The ideal candidate will excel at customer interaction, serving as the first point of contact for customers, greeting them warmly, assisting with their needs, and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate personnel. Responsibilities include taking meticulous care of vehicles brought in for service, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, protecting interiors during service, and helping with parking lot organization. The role involves moving vehicles as directed, inspecting vehicles for any damage or stains before they are returned to customers, handling loaner vehicle check-ins, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the customer drop-off area. It also requires adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations and company policies.
Additionally, the candidate must offer prompt, efficient, and quality service that aims to exceed customer satisfaction, even when facing challenges. Job Duties
- Ensure the customers are greeted, assisted and guided to the proper person
- Install seat, steering wheel, and floor protection in all vehicles taken in for service prior to returning a completed vehicle to a customer
- Remove the seat, steering wheel and floor covers and ID tags installed when vehicle was brought in for service
- Help to maintain the parking lot in an organized and efficient manner
- Move customer and dealership vehicles as directed
- Help inspect the vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damages to the management immediately
- Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the cashier or service advisors
- Remain in the service write-up area unless performing another task as directed
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as safety requirements, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know, etc
- Check in loaner vehicles being returned by customers
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the customer drop off area
- Utilize all available information to ensure proper resolution of problems
- Provide prompt, efficient, and quality service to the customers and dealership
- Take the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction, even if it requires overcoming obstacles
- Present self as a positive role model by demonstrating commitment to the department, customers, dealership, and company
- Attend training classes as directed by management
