As part of The Boyd Group, one of the largest collision repair and glass services providers in North America, Gerber Collision & Glass is dedicated to building great teams intentionally and fostering a culture driven by dedicated, talented individuals. The company prides itself on providing the elite infrastructure and supportive environment necessary for employees to excel and grow professionally, which in turn helps them outperform at every customer touchpoint. The Boyd Group values integrity, inclusion, and diversity, welcoming unique talents from all backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans, to join their Greater Team.

Gerber Collision & Glass is currently seeking to expand its team by hiring a Porter, a vital role that supports the collision repair process by ensuring vehicles and facilities are maintained to the highest standard. This is an hourly position offering competitive compensation ranging between $15 and $20 per hour, commensurate with the applicant’s skills, education, and experience. In addition to base pay, the role may be eligible for bonus opportunities linked to individual or business performance, providing further financial incentives to succeed. The employment environment offers various attractive benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, all designed to help employees maintain work-life balance and security.

The Porter plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring that vehicles are cleaned and prepared both before and after repairs, and by maintaining a clean, well-organized workspace for colleagues and customers alike. This includes conducting thorough housekeeping tasks inside the office and production areas, managing waste disposal, and ensuring the orderly arrangement of tools and equipment to maintain workplace efficiency and safety. Porters also maintain the grounds, including parking lots and sidewalks, ensuring that these areas are safe and inviting.

This position requires a motivated individual who can multitask effectively and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have some automotive experience and possess strong customer service skills along with a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Essential physical abilities include the capability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate a motor vehicle, and perform various physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

At Gerber Collision & Glass, the culture is built on a foundation of respect, support, and clear communication. The company believes in the power of teamwork and the importance of each role contributing to a shared goal of excellence in service delivery. Employees enjoy opportunities for continuing education and career advancement, with a voluntary daily pay option and an annual uniform stipend demonstrating the company’s investment in employee well-being and satisfaction.

Joining Gerber Collision & Glass means becoming part of a dynamic, growing organization where your efforts are recognized and rewarded, your career goals are supported, and you have the resources necessary to succeed.
