Job Description
The Dinerstein Companies (TDC) is one of the nation’s largest multi-family and student housing community developers with a remarkable legacy spanning over sixty years. Having developed more than 75,000 multi-family apartments and 44,000 student housing beds across 26 states, TDC is a leader in the integrated development, construction, and property management of premier apartment communities. The company specializes in luxury mid-rise and high-rise residences and innovative off-campus student housing, consistently delivering high-quality, thoughtfully designed living environments. TDC is known not only for its expertise and reputation but also for its commitment to genuine hospitality and authentic care, aiming to create lasting relationships and memorable experiences for residents and team members alike.
At TDC, the emphasis is on experience over management alone. Every day, the team embraces a mission centered around superior customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. Employees are encouraged to embody the company’s core values and serve as ambassadors of the brand. The culture promotes an extra degree of care that profoundly impacts residents’ satisfaction and community ambiance, making TDC properties feel like true homes.
Within this dynamic environment, the Porter position plays a vital role on the on-site maintenance team. The Porter will report directly to the Service Manager and is responsible for ensuring that both indoor and outdoor areas of the property are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This includes conducting daily inspections of common areas and the exterior, preparing vacant apartments for move-ins, maintaining grounds and trash operations, and supporting customer service initiatives that enhance the resident experience. Porters also assist in making ready apartments, perform touch-up painting as directed by supervisors, and may be required to drive shuttles or company vehicles.
The Porter role is designed for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy working in a community-focused environment, and desire to contribute to a highly regarded property management team. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking on-the-job training and the chance to grow within a company that values personal development and teamwork. TDC offers a competitive compensation package along with best-in-class benefits to support employees’ health, financial security, and work-life balance. Join The Dinerstein Companies to be a part of a respected leader in the multi-family housing industry dedicated to excellence and resident satisfaction.
