Job Description

Core Spaces (Core) is more than just a real estate company; it's a people-first organization that emphasizes building strong relationships alongside developing exceptional properties. Established in 2010, Core is a vertically integrated real estate investment manager specializing in acquiring, developing, and managing properties within the student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) sectors. With a portfolio including over 59,000 student housing beds and a pipeline of more than 50,930 beds under various stages of development, Core is a recognized leader in providing world-class residential communities. The company also has over 3,000 homes in its BTR division either under development or available for lease in high-growth metropolitan markets nationwide. Core Spaces delivers cutting-edge amenities, innovative design, and hospitality-driven service to its residents, constantly reinventing how people live in modern communal spaces.

At the heart of Core’s operations are six key cultural values that guide every action and decision: PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better). These values foster an inclusive culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, trust, and continuous improvement, all focused on enhancing the resident experience at every level. Beyond the physical spaces Core creates, there is a strong commitment to cultivating a sense of belonging and a supportive work environment for employees.

The available position is for a Porter who will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, curb appeal, and general upkeep of Core’s residential properties. This on-site role involves groundskeeping duties such as trash removal, landscaping maintenance, pool cleaning, and upkeep of exterior furniture and amenities. The Porter will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be expected to complete daily checklists that ensure the property remains inviting and meets brand standards. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work additional hours including evenings and weekends when needed to support property operations such as move-ins and move-outs.

Core offers a comprehensive compensation package including an hourly wage of $22.00. Employees benefit from paid flexible time off, paid holidays including birthdays, paid parental leave, health insurance with coverage starting within 30 days, retirement plans with matching 401(k) and Roth options, and employee assistance programs. Additional perks include a wellness allowance, monthly phone reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, monthly collaborative workshop weeks with fewer meetings, and a 20% employee housing discount. Core’s emphasis on work-life balance, professional development, and community engagement makes it an attractive employer for those committed to growth and excellence in the real estate industry.
