In the role of Porter, you will play a vital part in the maintenance and overall upkeep of the community properties managed by Asset Living. This position involves carrying out a range of maintenance tasks, including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic repairs, all essential to maintaining community standards and ensuring resident satisfaction. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the Porter assists in the make-ready process of units and common areas, ensuring that all maintenance operations align with the property’s strategic objectives. This hands-on role requires daily presence on-site, where responsibilities include cleaning, trash removal, and upkeep of all exterior and interior common spaces. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards, preserving the safety and integrity of the community. The Porter also supports the preventive maintenance program to extend the longevity of community assets while adhering strictly to safety guidelines and OSHA standards. Beyond maintenance duties, the role involves fostering positive resident relations by responding promptly to service requests and consistently presenting a professional and courteous image. This role is fundamental to ensuring that the properties remain attractive, safe, and compliant with community policies, ultimately enhancing the resident experience.

Asset Living offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21 to $22 per hour, underscoring the company’s commitment to fair compensation aligned with skill set, experience, and certifications. Job Duties

  • Community maintenance
  • Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
  • Responsible for cleaning, trash removal, and general maintenance of grounds, buildings, breezeways, and all interior and exterior community common areas
  • Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner
  • Ensure all repairs and replacements necessary for grounds, buildings, breezeways, and community common areas are completed in a timely manner
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features daily to identify, minimize, and correct hazardous property conditions or liability concerns
  • Assist in maintaining a preventative maintenance program that extends the life of the community while minimizing future repairs
