The role of Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass is essential in maintaining the high standards of vehicle preparation and shop cleanliness, which complement the quality repair work performed by the technical teams. This position is responsible for preparing customer vehicles by pre-washing and performing both interior and exterior cleanups prior to delivery. Additionally, the Porter plays a critical role in upholding the cleanliness and organization of both the office and the production areas, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for customers and staff alike. This full-time hourly position offers compensation ranging from $11.90 to $17.00 USD, commensurate with the candidate's skills, education, and experience. The Porter will be involved in transporting customer vehicles to off-site service locations as needed, requiring a valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate motor vehicles. The work demands physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and occasional stooping or crouching.
