As a full-time Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the apartment property. Your primary responsibility is to keep the common areas, clubhouses, offices, model apartments, and grounds in pristine condition. You will ensure that these areas are free from trash, debris, and animal waste, and that landscaping such as grass and flowers are watered and well-kept. This role is crucial in preparing apartments for new residents, guaranteeing the best possible appearance before move-in dates.

The role demands a proactive approach to property upkeep, including regular trash removal and dumpster area cleanliness. You’ll work closely with the Property Manager, Service Manager, and other team members to report any maintenance issues requiring attention, such as ripped carpet or door repairs. Providing assistance during apartment turnovers and responding suitably to emergencies as per company policies are also key aspects of this position. The Porter will consistently demonstrate high standards in customer service and uphold the company’s core values and culture, contributing to positive resident experiences. This job requires physical stamina as much of the work involves physical labor, including standing, walking, lifting items up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Participation in required training sessions, including Cardinal U training, is mandatory to ensure compliance with all policies and maintain skill proficiency.
