Job Description

Serrano Country Club is a prestigious private golf course and country club located in El Dorado Hills, California. Renowned for its exceptional amenities, beautiful landscapes, and outstanding member services, Serrano Country Club offers a luxury experience that combines recreational activities with a community atmosphere. The club caters to a diverse and discerning membership base, providing facilities that include a championship golf course, elegant dining venues, and well-maintained social and event spaces. Serrano Country Club is committed to maintaining the highest standards of excellence in everything it offers to its members, from the lush fairways to the impeccable clubhouse environment.

As a Porter at Serrano Country Club, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall maintenance and cleanliness of this upscale private club. This part-time position is perfect for someone who is experienced, reliable, and takes pride in creating a pristine and welcoming environment. The Porter’s responsibilities extend beyond basic janitorial tasks; this role involves performing light maintenance duties, supporting housekeeping efforts, and assisting with various operational needs to ensure that members and guests enjoy an exceptional experience. Working closely with the Facilities Director, Director of Operations, and the General Manager/COO, the Porter helps uphold the club’s reputation for excellence by addressing maintenance issues promptly and maintaining the appearance and functionality of key areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, walkways, patios, and event spaces.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or janitorial work, preferably in a private club, resort, or hospitality setting. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and maintenance are essential qualities for success. The role demands the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and interact positively with members, guests, and team members to promote a friendly, professional team environment. The Porter must be adaptable to meet the changing needs of the club’s diverse membership and exhibit a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. This position also requires physical stamina to perform duties that involve bending, lifting, climbing, standing, and walking in various weather conditions, ranging from cold winter mornings to hot summer days.

Serrano Country Club places a high value on employee commitment and professionalism, providing a stimulating workplace where staff can develop their skills in a prestigious and supportive setting. If you are passionate about maintenance work, enjoy a dynamic and collaborative work environment, and want to contribute to one of the finest private country clubs in California, the Porter position at Serrano Country Club offers a rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated and respected team. As a part-timer, you will have the flexibility to balance work and personal commitments while contributing to the club's excellence and member satisfaction.
