Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial role preferred
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a housekeeping, porter, or custodial role is a plus preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with staff, residents, and families
- Compassionate, friendly, and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain all common areas including hallways, lounges, restrooms, and dining areas
- Ensure safety and cleanliness in resident rooms including regular inspections of equipment and furniture
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed for events, activities, or routine facility maintenance
- Assist with laundry services including transporting linens and towels to and from the laundry room
- Respond to emergency situations ensuring a quick and effective response
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling according to facility guidelines
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
