We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking full-time Porter to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and general upkeep of our apartment community. As a Porter, you will contribute significantly to preserving the physical integrity and overall aesthetic of the community, ensuring a quality living environment for our residents. This position offers competitive compensation, with hourly rates ranging from $25 to $27, based on qualifications and experience.

The Porter’s role involves a variety of tasks primarily focused on grounds maintenance, community cleanliness, and resident support. Responsibilities include daily trash collection and cleaning around trash areas, sweeping halls, curbs, and common spaces regularly, and routine cleaning of handrails, lights, and stairwells. The job also involves periodic power washing and hosing of stairwells and hallways, landscaping duties such as weed pulling, leaf raking, watering grounds, and assisting with snow removal. Maintaining the pool area's cleanliness and vacuuming pool facilities is also part of the daily routine.

In addition to these physical tasks, the Porter helps enforce community appearance standards by checking bandit signs, delivering newsletters and flyers, and cleaning clubhouses, apartments, and other common spaces. This role also emphasizes safety, requiring attention to maintaining a safe environment for residents through thorough upkeep and cleanliness.

Providing excellent customer service is a critical component of the position. The Porter acts as a frontline representative, showing care and responsiveness to residents' needs. Furthermore, the Porter supports the maintenance team by assisting with general maintenance tasks and painting as requested, working in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

The position may require working weekends or evenings and availability for on-call emergencies outside regular hours, necessitating reliable transportation and strong communication skills. Experience in grounds maintenance or related fields is preferred, and a basic to intermediate knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair is advantageous but not required.
