The role of Porter, part-time, within the Food & Beverage department at Legends Global supports the company's event operations at venues like the Broward County Convention Center. Reporting to the Stewarding Supervisor, Executive Steward, or Sous Chef, this non-exempt role is critical in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety across food and beverage service areas during events. The Porter contributes to smooth operations by assisting with event setup and breakdown, transporting supplies, equipment, food, and beverage products, and ensuring prompt cleaning and restocking. This role demands physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, standing, walking, and pushing or pulling equipment, which are essential to meet the fast-paced demands of banquets, concessions, and facility support.

Job Requirements
- High school degree or GED
- previous experience in food service, hospitality, event operations, or facility support preferred
- ability to follow company policies and safety standards
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods
- availability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- previous experience in food service, hospitality, event operations, or facility support preferred
- experience in a convention center, banquet, or high-volume service environment is a plus
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- strong teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively with food and beverage staff
- ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision

Job Duties
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout all food and beverage areas
- support banquet and concessions operations by transporting food, beverages, equipment, and supplies to designated areas
- assist with pre-event and post-event setup and breakdown of food and beverage service areas
- collect, clean, and store food service equipment, utensils, and service items
- assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper storage, rotation, labeling, and dating products
- maintain clean and organized storage areas in accordance with company and health standards
- move inventory, products, and equipment throughout the facility as needed
- transport ice, food products, and beverage supplies to service locations
- clean spills promptly and maintain safe, hazard-free work areas
- restock supplies and assist with pulling inventory as needed
- follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- provide support to food and beverage teams to ensure efficient event operations
- perform other duties as assigned
