The Porter position at Culver's plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the restaurant, both inside and out. This role is vital to ensuring that the establishment meets health and safety standards while providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests. As a Porter, you will report directly to the manager on duty and take charge of essential maintenance tasks to prepare the restaurant for opening and maintain its functionality throughout the day. This full-time or part-time position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can perform a variety of tasks efficiently and accurately.

Your duties will include performing thorough cleaning and sanitation, checking the security of the restaurant after closing, and maintaining the exterior premises including landscaping and snow removal. You will also be responsible for handling food stock properly, ensuring that items are stored using the First In-First Out method and monitoring shelf life to reduce waste. Additionally, you will complete scheduled maintenance on restaurant equipment, take accurate food temperature readings upon delivery, and support the kitchen team during peak hours by finishing your tasks before the lunch shift begins. The porter role demands physical stamina as it involves lifting, carrying, standing, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments regardless of weather conditions.
