We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Porter to join our dynamic team at The Alexander. This is a crucial role focused on maintaining the property's appearance and cleanliness, effectively supporting the overall resident experience. The Porter will be responsible for enhancing the curb appeal of the community by ensuring that all outdoor areas such as walkways, parking lots, dumpster zones, and common spaces remain spotless and inviting. This includes the upkeep of amenities like the pool area, fitness center, and grilling stations, guaranteeing these spaces meet the community’s quality standards.

In addition to routine cleaning duties, the Porter will assist with light maintenance tasks including replacing light bulbs and promptly reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. The role also involves pressure washing sidewalks and building exteriors, a hands-on task essential for maintaining the pristine appearance of the complex. Daily trash and debris removal is a priority to uphold the safety and attractiveness of the property.

Beyond these responsibilities, the Porter will support the maintenance team with apartment make-readies and various special projects, providing flexible assistance to ensure units are prepared efficiently for new residents. Monitoring the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment is also critical, with the Porter communicating any reordering needs to maintain uninterrupted service delivery.

The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in porter duties, groundskeeping, or janitorial roles and possess a strong attention to detail. They must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of performing physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds. A team-oriented approach combined with a positive, can-do attitude is essential to thrive in this role and contribute to the cohesive atmosphere at The Alexander.
