The Porter role at Asset Living supports the overall maintenance processes of the community under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. This full-time position involves delivering preventative, corrective, routine, and cosmetic maintenance to ensure the property's grounds, buildings, and common areas remain in excellent condition. The Porter is instrumental in supporting the company’s operational goals by assisting in the make-ready process for units while ensuring safety and cleanliness throughout the community. Responsibilities include daily inspections, maintenance of community features, trash removal, hazard identification, and responding promptly to resident and management requests. Attention to safety standards and OSHA guidelines is critical, as is maintaining a well-organized and stocked maintenance shop. The Porter also participates in emergency on-call duties as needed and works to foster excellent customer relations by projecting a favorable community image and consistently enforcing property policies. This role requires not only a hands-on approach but also strong communication skills and a commitment to upholding Asset Living’s values of teamwork, integrity, and service excellence. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $19 to $20, along with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, commission and performance bonuses (when applicable), paid sick days, and company holidays.
