This serene and inviting location in Fairfield County offers a variety of living options including Independent and Assisted Living apartment homes, as well as a skilled Health Center designed to deliver high-quality care and services tailored to the unique needs of its residents. Benchmark Senior Living emphasizes community, respect, and dignity, ensuring that all residents enjoy a lifestyle that promotes wellness, independence, and social connection in a safe and caring atmosphere.
As part of its commitment to excellence, Benchmark Senior Living is currently seeking a full-time Porter to join the Meadow Ridge team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the community’s cleanliness, safety, and welcoming environment for residents, associates, and visitors alike. Scheduled shifts for this position are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hourly wage range is competitive at $17 to $18.25, reflecting the company’s dedication to attracting and retaining high-quality staff.
The primary responsibility of the Porter is to ensure that assigned areas within the community remain spotless and sanitary, adhering to established standards and practices. This includes cleaning common areas such as elevators, halls, staircases, lobbies, and resident activity spaces, as well as caring for specific areas like breakrooms and discharge rooms in the Health Center. The role requires efficient use of cleaning supplies and proper maintenance of cleaning equipment, showcasing a mindful approach to both environmental and operational resources.
Moreover, the Porter acts as a friendly and professional ambassador of the community by providing information, directions, and appropriate assistance to residents and visitors. This service-oriented aspect of the role not only helps maintain a supportive community atmosphere but also promotes a safe environment where residents feel valued and well-cared for.
Candidates who thrive in this position are those dedicated to assisting others with genuine pride in their work. The role offers an opportunity to grow within a company that values integrity, teamwork, and a strong sense of community. Benchmark Senior Living supports its associates through various benefits, including paid training, uniform provision, health and wellness programs, and opportunities for career advancement. This supportive structure ensures that employees can develop their skills and continue contributing to the well-being of the community.
In addition to competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, Benchmark Senior Living embraces a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, welcoming associates of all backgrounds and identities. This commitment fosters an environment where everyone is respected and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work, making it not just a job, but a meaningful career path within the senior living industry.
