Job Description
Hendrick Acura Northlake is a well-established automotive dealership located at 10020 Eastfield Road, Huntersville, North Carolina. As part of the Hendrick Automotive Group, one of the largest privately-held automotive dealership groups in the United States, Hendrick Acura Northlake prides itself on providing exceptional vehicle sales and outstanding customer service. The dealership offers a wide selection of new and pre-owned Acura vehicles and provides comprehensive automotive services to meet the diverse needs of its customers. With a commitment to excellence and a strong customer-centric approach, Hendrick Acura Northlake upholds high standards in both its operations and community involvement.
The role of a Porter at Hendrick Acura Northlake is vital to the daily operations of the dealership. This position is responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles to ensure that the lot remains organized and presentable for customers and staff alike. The Porter will perform various tasks and errands as assigned by the dealership, contributing to the smooth workflow throughout the facility. Though the position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities, it plays a supportive role across departments to maintain the dealership's standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
The Porter’s duties include moving cars around the lot, delivering vehicles to customers, and keeping the car lot clean and orderly. This role requires attention to detail to maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards, making sure that every interaction reflects the dealership’s commitment to customer service. The Porter also participates in mandatory training sessions to stay updated on company policies and safety regulations, promotes company core values such as servant leadership, teamwork, integrity, and accountability, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety rules.
Physical demands of the Porter position include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and the frequent movement around the dealership premises, including outdoor and indoor environments. Effective communication skills and basic computer knowledge are necessary to follow instructions, interact with personnel, and accurately record work hours in the company’s timekeeping system. Furthermore, the position requires a valid driver’s license to perform vehicle deliveries. This job promises a dynamic work environment requiring dedication, punctuality, and a positive attitude, with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Hendrick Acura Northlake encourages diversity and is an Equal Opportunity employer that welcomes minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities to apply. The dealership values continuous improvement and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, setting a standard for excellence in the automotive sales industry. This Porter position offers an important opportunity for candidates to join a respected company that invests in its employees and community while upholding a tradition of winning through passion and integrity.
